The Power of Self-Worth: Breaking Free from Societal Expectations

Hey there, fellow moms! As I've had over 100 conversations as the host of the Real Life Momz podcast, one theme that keeps resurfacing is self-worth. It's an issue that affects so many of us, and it's the one thing that could be holding you back from achieving your dreams. In this blog post, I want to share some aha moments I've had and some powerful reminders to help you overcome limiting beliefs and embrace your worthiness.

Societal Expectations vs. True Worth:

We live in a world where societal expectations can make us feel like we need to be popular, have money, and have everything perfectly together. But the truth is, none of that matters regarding our self-worth. January Donovan, a guest on my podcast, reminded me that self-worth comes from within. We are worthy despite external validation. It doesn't matter if we have 10,000 or 4 followers; our worth is not defined by numbers or glam. We are all human and worthy simply because we are us.

Breaking Free from Limiting Beliefs:

Lynita Mitchell Blackwell, another Real Life Momz podcast guest, shared something that resonated with me. She said we constantly check boxes, thinking that if we do ABC, we'll be successful, good enough, and worthy. But who created those boxes, and do they define success for us? The answer is no! We need to build our checklists and standards of success. It's different for everyone.

You Matter:

Stephanie Rose's powerful message has stayed with me: "You matter!" As parents, we often forget that our desires and needs are essential, too. We matter; societal expectations or insignificant numbers do not define our worthiness. We get to define ourselves.

Self-worth is a powerful force that can either propel us towards our dreams or hold us back from achieving them. It's time to break free from the limiting beliefs that society has imposed upon us and embrace our true worthiness. Remember, you matter! Your worthiness is not defined by insignificant numbers or external validation. You are worthy of love, respect, and happiness simply because you exist. Embrace your true worthiness and watch how it can transform your life.
